Colbert hits back after O’Reilly says he has ‘no bleeping clue’

Bill O’Reilly’s plan to create a mercenary army to fight ISIS has gotten a lot of mocking in the media, including from frequent sparring partner Stephen Colbert.

Colbert sarcastically produced his own “equally thought-out plan” from his “fourth grade notebook,” involving scribbles about ninjas and pirates.

Several days ago, Bill O’Reilly responded to Colbert’s criticism by announcing, “Mr. Colbert and others of his ilk have no bleeping clue how to fight the [jihadists]. They don’t know anything.”

Colbert came back Wednesday night with his own response.

“I wasn’t mocking your plan—I’m the only one who likes it! Everyone on your own show thinks you’re insane!” Colbert exclaimed, playing tapes of other Fox News personalities rejecting O’Reilly’s plan.

“With your idea you’ve gone from out of the box to off the wall,” Charles Krauthammer told O’Reilly at one point.

“Let’s not fight,” Colbert proposed to O’Reilly. “Or if we do fight, Bill, let’s at least pay other people to do it for us.”
