President Trump’s eldest son and advisor Donald Trump Jr. is ready to jump into the 2018 midterm elections and use his influence to expand the Republican majority.
Trump Jr. wants to use his position to “expand our majority in the Senate and protect our majority in the House,” a Republican source close to him told Axios.
Trump’s son will be raising money for Republican candidates, specifically in his priority states, which include West Virginia, Missouri, Montana, and Indiana.
After the West Virginia Senate GOP primary was called for Patrick Morrisey, Trump Jr. congratulated him on his victory and in a call offered to come down and campaign with Morrisey to defeat Democratic incumbent Sen. Joe Manchin.
Trump Jr. is expected to make his first trip to West Virginia soon to kick off his involvement in the midterms.
