Despite a near media blackout on the growing Hunter Biden scandal, most voters appear aware of it and believe that President Joe Biden “perhaps profited” off his son’s schemes linked to Ukraine, Russia, and China.
What’s more, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey that should make the White House nervous, voters believe that had the scandal been more publicized, especially reports about Hunter Biden’s laptop filled with potentially damaging evidence, his father would not have been elected.
The survey, shared with Secrets, bolsters GOP calls for an investigation into the financial affairs of the Biden family. Top Republican congressional leaders are pledging to hold hearings on it if they take control of Congress in the fall elections, as expected.
The poll was provided first to Miranda Devine, who has been dogging the Biden scandal and the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop for the New York Post. Late Wednesday night, she reported that a Delaware grand jury is moving “closer to potentially indicting Hunter, 52, over alleged tax evasion, money laundering and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.”
She said that pressure is also growing on the president and White House to explain Biden’s role in “the international influence-peddling scheme run by his son and brother, Jim Biden, while he was vice president.”

The New York Post revealed the existence of the laptop shortly before the 2020 election. It had apparently been forgotten at a repair shop by Hunter Biden. It reportedly has damning evidence and emails on it about the money scandal.
The media downplayed reports about it, possibly helping Biden escape a last-minute election scandal and a loss to then-President Donald Trump.
Just recently, the media have acknowledged the existence of the computer.
In the survey, over 60% said that the laptop story is an important one. A similar majority believe that the president “was consulted about and perhaps profited from” his son’s business deals in China.
And more than not believe that Biden would have lost the 2020 election had they known about it. Rasmussen found that by a margin of 48%-45%, Biden would have lost “if the media had fully reported about Hunter Biden’s laptop.”
Wrote Devine in the New York Post, “This goes to Biden’s very legitimacy as president and shows that the media’s failure to report the laptop story really was election interference. It is an epic scandal that refuses to go away.”
