A newlywed Philadelphia man walked outside his wedding reception Saturday night when two armed men confronted him and stole his Rolex watch.
The groom had exited the reception to grab fresh air and was walking toward National Mechanics Restaurant on South 3rd Street when the incident occurred, police said. Officers said the men wore all black and left the scene in a dark-colored car.

The groom was not injured, according to a report.
At least eight armed robberies have been reported in the city recently, but investigators did not comment if Saturday’s theft was connected, the report stated.

On Tuesday, another two men were robbed of their Rolex watches, which have an expected value of $37,000, police said.
