- That was former “CHiPs” star Erik Estrada shopping in the Georgetown Park Mall on Saturday. Perhaps he was looking for a new pair of cheesy shades for the summer?

- Actor/heartthrob Taye Diggs was seen around town over the weekend accompanying his wife, Idina Menzel, at her performance at the National Memorial Day Concert. The couple stayed at the Washington Court Hotel.

- And Terry and Dorothy McAuliffe hosted a dinner at Cafe Milano Friday night for the Clinton campaign’s press team. BET founder (and Hillary supporter) Bob Johnson popped into the Georgetown restaurant’s private dining room to wish the group good luck in the upcoming contests. Attendees included Geoff Garin, Phil Singer and Kim Molstre, Blake Zeff, Traci Blunt, Jin Chon and Howard Wolfson. And McAuliffe adviser Tracy Sefl made her first “flash” of a post-surgery cameo in order to soak up some of McAuliffe’s energy (Sefl had successful surgery recently to remove a brain tumor). “There was laughter — as in ‘fun’ and jokes, even smiles,” one attendee told us. “There was boundless appreciation to go around for a team that’s been through it all. … Given where we’re at with the primaries, it’s always worth remembering that McAuliffe brings that spirit out in everyone.”
