The topic du jour in the 2008 presidential campaign is “Will Hillary and Obama pair up on the same ticket?”
So it figures that, somewhere, there’s already a Web site ready for the possibility: www.draftobamaclinton.com.

“Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have each earned the support of millions,” states the site, which was started by the Citizens Consent organization.
“Both are committed to bringing our nation together and moving our nation forward. Now it is time to put aside the little that divides us and come together around the fundamental values that unite us.”
Sounds harmonious, right? Well, this site is pulling for Obama as prez and Hillary as veep, which clearly flies in the face of some statements coming out of the Clinton camp lately (Clinton recently said in Mississippi, “I’ve had a lot of people say, ‘Well, I wish I could vote for both of you.’ Well, that might be possible someday”).
And this site could just be a harbinger of November’s Democratic ticket: Citizens Consent launched a Kerry-Edwards site in 2004 and, well, that was the exact ticket that emerged from the Democratic convention in Boston.
Clearly, this “Obama on top” news won’t please Hillary but Citizens Consent ain’t gonna budge: “We’re absolutely firm on that,” Citizens Consent’s Jim Spencer told us. “That’s undoubtedly the strongest ticket. It needs to be in that order.”
