…CB Carlos Rogers is a longshot to play Sunday, coach Mike Shanahan said. But what that means for Kevin Barnes is uncertain. He’ll likely have to play FS with Kareem Moore out — and with Macho Harris having played poorly in that role vs. Jacksonville. This could mean more action for Byron Westbrook at corner.
…Nine Redskins were listed as questionable on the injury report: WR Brandon Banks (knee), NT Anthony Bryant (elbow), S Reed Doughty (head), S Macho Harris (hip), LB Brian Orakpo (groin), C Casey Rabach (shoulder/knee), CB Carlos Rogers (calf), RB Ryan Torain (ribs), WR Roydell Williams (foot).
…For New York, WR Hakeem Nicks (toe), C Shaun O’Hara (foot/Achilles) and DE Dave Tollefson (knee) are out. DT Chris Canty (neck), S Brian Jackson (knee) and CB Corey Webster (ribs/knee) are questionable.
…DL Vonnie Holliday said he expects DL Albert Haynesworth to show up for his season-ending physical (he could be fined if he doesn’t). Holliday has been in contact with Haynesworth since his four-game suspension.
“He’s bummed out,” Holliday said. “A lot of times you don’t even know important it is until you’re not around it. That’s certainly been the case for him. Knowing that the season is still going on and the guy’s are still in this locker room working, as crazy as things have been with this guy, at the end of the day he’s still a football player. He’s been doing it for a long time. So yeah, he’s watching. He’s listening. He misses the fellowship, being out there on Sunday. We’ll see what happens. I know he still wants to play football. He says he’s going to work his butt off, and we’ll see what happens.”
…FB Mike Sellers said the players will exit the season with a different mentality than in 2009.”There’s light at the end of the tunnel,” he said. “Shanahans a proven coach. Everyone’s excited … The past few years you had players cussing out the coach and players doing whatever they wanted to do. That doesn’t happen anymore. It’s a nice feeling.”
