Pundits have sliced and diced the competition among the potential vice presidential choices of John McCain and Barack Obama countless ways. How about their books’ demand among readers?

Through its Marketplace feature, Amazon.com lets users sell new and used books for whatever price they’ll fetch.

Among McCain’s rumored VP choices, Texas Gov. Rick Perry is doing best right now, with his recently released “On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts Are Worth Fighting For.” That book’s going for a minimum of $15.49 in the secondary market.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg checks in next with “Bloomberg by Bloomberg.” It’s getting at least $8.46, even though it was released in 2001.

The paperback version of Colin Powell’s “My American Journey” still fetches $4.79. And both of Mike Huckabee’s books — “Character Makes a Difference” and “Quit Digging Your Grave With a Knife and Fork” — are on sale for nearly $2.50.

The also-rans: Sam Brownback’s “From Power to Purpose” ($0.94), Carly Fiorina’s “Tough Choices” ($0.99), Mitt Romney’s “Turnaround” ($.0.79), Joe Lieberman’s “In Praise of Public Life” ($0.01) and J.C. Watts’ “What Color Is a Conservative?” ($0.01).
