Because the NCAA Tournament will occupy just about every discussion in the next three-and-a-half weeks, some topics will be shelved. For which we say, thank goodness!
1. The Tiger returns rumors » Listen, we can’t wait until the guy returns either. But we’re tired of the rumors coming out every few weeks that he’s going to return for this tournament or that. Besides, we heard it would be the Masters.

2. The Washington Nationals » Um, so how about that new and improved pitching staff, eh? Maybe in a few weeks we’ll discover they even have a couple wins. And an ERA less than 10.00! Then we’ll wonder whether they can carry that “momentum” into the season.

4. Our kids » Come on, we’re joking. We can’t ignore them now; we want to take their money. That is, if those tournament pools were legal and we had every family member fill one out for a set sum of money. Which, of course, we would never, ever consider. It’s illegal, you know. But if we did, the phrase, “Yes, son, Murray State is a good bet to win the title,” could be uttered to certain 6-year-olds. Easy money, boys.
5. NFL free agency » You know, the way the Redskins have ignored it thus far? Kidding, kidding. We know they’ve been smart. We’re just not used to saying that.
