On the subject of including Tiger Woods on the U.S. Ryder Cup team, captain Corey Pavin‘s stance can be summed up with the following words: Show me what you got, Eldrick.

Which might prompt casual golf fans might to wonder the following: Who is Corey Pavin? And is he nuts?

At the moment, Woods is No. 11 in the Ryder Cup standings. Players who finish in the top eight receive automatic berths on the U.S. team. After that, Pavin will add four “captain’s choices.”

“[Woods] is just going to be treated like everyone else,” said Pavin. “I’d love to have him on the team, but I want him to be playing well.”

Other than Woods, here are the next five players out of the top eight — Ben Crane, Matt Kuchar, Nick Watney and Jason Bohn.

If Pavin picks one of these over Tiger, the captain could be facing a mutiny.
