Born » June 17, 1981, in Hartsville, S.C., to Linda and Albert Haynesworth II. Parents divorced in 1985. Has two brothers, Tyriom Edwards and Lance McCoy. Attended Hartsville High School where he was considered one of the top football prospects in the nation.
Family » Separated from his wife, Stephanie, with whom he has two children: Albert IV, age 2, and Alanie, 3. He also has a son Ahsharri, 7. His wife filed for divorce in March 2008 but recently told the Nashville City Paper, “We get along great. So, we’ll see.”

But as a junior, playing with the fire and maturity coaches wanted, he dominated with 11.5 tackles for a loss, 20 quarterback hurries and seven passes batted down.
NFL career » Drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the 15th pick in the first round of the 2002 draft. Named the Defensive Player of the Year for his performance in 2008. Named All-Pro in 2007 and 2008 and earned a spot on the past two AFC Pro Bowl teams.
Charity » For the past three years, he has hosted the “Dining for Dimes” celebrity dinner/auction, which benefits the March of Dimes. Spent time with at-risk youth in middle Tennessee as part of the YMCA Community Action Project. Supported teammates’ charities while with Tennessee and is a spokesman for Soles4Souls, an international charity that gives shoes to the needy.
Hobby » Loves boats, especially his performance model that can hit 100 mph. Has participated in the Tennessee River Rally, an event for performance boats. Also owns cruising boats.
