No bull
Phillips Collection Chairman George Vradenburg hosted a fundraiser and reception for Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, on Monday evening at his Northwest D.C. home.

The theme was Collins’ “bipartisan leadership,” especially on the D.C. voting rights bill, which recently died thanks to a handful of Collins’ filibustering colleagues. Hence, on hand were Ilir Zherka, executive director of DC Vote; Neil Richardson, a top aide to Mayor Adrian Fenty; and Chief Financial Officer Natwar Gandi. (Not everyone who was there wrote a check, in case you were wondering about the public servants.)
Joining them were conservative lawyer Ted Olson and journalist Ina Ginsburg.
Collins stood next to a giant painted bull that Vradenburg had on his terrace.
“Here I am standing in front of this bull. I hope you don’t think that I’m full of bull,” Collins quipped.
