Is Lazor bound for Tampa Bay?
Looks like Virginia football coach Mike London is expecting to lose offensive coordinator Bill Lazor to the NFL. He’s reportedly a candidate for the same position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. London released this statement on Wednesday:

“I’m a firm believer in the continuity of the overall staff and I think the combination of quality assistant coaches and support staff have contributed to our success thus far. At the same time, opportunities present themselves that I feel are important for our staff to investigate and possibly pursue for their personal development and to allow them to meet their personal goals.”
Losing Lazor would be a blow. His work with modestly-talented quarterbacks Marc Verica and Michael Rocco has been stellar. The season before his arrival, Virginia ranked No. 118 in the NCAA in total offense (269.6 ypg) using a spread. In Lazor’s two seasons, Virginia ranked No. 37 in 2010 (404.8 ypg) and No. 46 in 2011 (399.8 ypg) using a pro-style.
Lazor came to Virginia after NFL stops at Washington, Seattle, and Atlanta.
