Some additional comments from Redskins Park on the minicamp absence of Albert Haynesworth:

London Fletcher

“There’s ways he can not be a Redskin – give the money back. We’ll move on without him. I want guys next year I can depend on.”

“Last year we had a lot of selfishness that took place and you got 4-12 out of that. This year, we can’t have that.”

Phillip Daniels

“It’s crazy. Albert’s the guy who complained about the defense last year. I don’t understand what he’s doing by not showing up.”

“Every guy here has dedicated himself to be here and do the things they need to do. And you’ve got one guy who’s not buying in.”

“It gonna take a lot for him to get back in here.”

DeAngelo Hall
“I think there’s a lot more into it … Definitely from the outside looking in, you gotta fell like there’s something more than the scheme. You definitely gotta feel like it’s something personal. No one knows.

Andre Carter
“We know where he stands now as a team, we’ll move forward. All these guys, to a man, are playing hard. Everybody’s in shape, ready to go, and he’s not here.”

Mike Shanahan
“On April 1st, when we owed him a check of $21 million, we said if you do take that check we expect you to be the best defensive end, best nose tackle, if we played you at free safety, we expect you to be the best free safety – even though he’d have to lose a little weight – whatever position we wanted to play him at, we expected him to do the best job he possibly could.”
