Home games include U-Conn, Ga. Tech, Florida State
Every other game the Maryland football team plays next fall will be at home in an unusually balanced schedule of six at home, six on the road. Highlights include a Sep. 15 home date with Terps’ coach Randy Edsall’s former team, Connecticut; and November home games with Georgia Tech and Florida State.

The Terps open with William & Mary, only the second meeting with the Tribe since 1946. Maryland beat the FCS team in 2006, 27-14.
The schedule is a chance for Maryland to show improvement on last year’s 2-10 mark. The Terps went 0-9 last fall against the teams that appear on the slate. Nine teams on the 2012 schedule played bowl games.
There is no national TV Labor Day kickoff game as the Terps have played the last two seasons (Navy in 2010 and Miami in 2011). And for the fourth straight year, there will be no ESPN Thursday night game for Maryland. From 1999-2008, Maryland played at least one game per season on prime-time Thursday.
