When the opportunity arises to rectify certain inequities here in Washington, people usually thrive at the chance to point out the mistakes of others. But not former Secretary of State Warren Christopher.
We caught up with the former Clinton administration official after a National War Powers Commission news conference on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, and asked him for his thoughts on the HBO movie “Recount,” a dramatization of the 2000 electoral recount in Florida.

When the film first aired in May, it was reported that Christopher called the film’s depiction of him “pure fiction” (the film shows Christopher as a weak counterpart to the Republicans’ aggressive approach to the Florida recount).
And it looks like Christopher still doesn’t care much for the film, or at least he’s in no mood to talk about it, given that he refused to answer our questions — twice! — about “Recount’s” depiction, finally parting with, “I think I have had my innings today.”
