Ted Sorensen, best known as John F. Kennedy’s speechwriter, shared with Yeas & Nays his opinion Tuesday afternoon of what the late president would think of the upcoming presidential election.
“It’s very clear that JFK would support Obama,” Sorensen said.

Sorensen said Kennedy would like Barack Obama because he is a good Democrat and because he stands for peace through multilateral diplomacy and breaking down artificial racial and religious barriers.
“[Obama’s] election will symbolize — as JFK’s election symbolized to the world — that America is a true democracy,” said Sorensen, who was at Nathans of Georgetown for the “Q&A Cafe” interview series.
