Montgomery County police are investigating the theft of a horse from a stable in Damascus, and they are asking the public to help find the animal.
Police said the horse, a 12-year-old female, was stolen from the TaylorMade Stables at 26130 Mullinix Mill road sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and 4 a.m. Sept. 3.
The horse is a 16-hand chestnut thoroughbred/warmblood cross mare. She has a white stripe from her ears to her nose described as a “star, stripe, snip.” Her right front leg and left rear leg have a “low stocking” marking, which his described as white hair from the hoof up just below the knee. The horse has permanent hair loss on her right hip bone.
