A federal employee for the Department of Homeland Security was killed in Georgia this week by a naturalized U.S. citizen from the United Kingdom, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said on Wednesday.

Lauren Bullis, 40, worked for the DHS Office of Inspector General prior to her death on Monday. The alleged killer, 26-year-old Olaolukitan Adon Abel, was naturalized in 2022.
