It’s payback time, says Don Trump Jr., ‘I’m not about losing’

As he steps up his advocacy for his father’s reelection, Donald Trump Jr. doesn’t just want Republicans to stop rolling over every time a Democrat attacks.

He wants payback.

“We’ve got to fight the same way,” he said in an interview.

Be it presidential or street politics, Trump said that it is time that Republicans get dirty.

“I’d love to be able to get along. I’d love to be able to settle our differences normally,” said the president’s top unelected surrogate and the author of a new book on Joe Biden, Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden and the Democrats’ Defense of the Indefensible.

“For 50 years, conservatives have been playing T-ball while the Left is playing hardball. We’ve turned the other cheek while they’ve laughed their butts off as we’ve done so because we’ve ceded ground thinking we’re taking the moral high ground but losing all along the way. I’m not about losing for some sort of supposed moral victory each and every time, and that’s what conservatives have done well,” he argued.

Trump, already being talked about as a future Senate or even presidential candidate, is an advocate for bare-knuckle politics and believes such tactics should even carry over to the courts, where Trump organizations and Republican groups have been under fire, including the National Rifle Association, which has endorsed the president’s reelection.

His suggestion is for conservative prosecutors to follow the lead of liberal attorneys general and target alleged wrongdoing by liberal groups.

“I’d encourage a lot of these attorney generals in conservative states to start going after the liberal Super PACs like Planned Parenthood and these sorts of things,” said Trump.

“This is the environment in which we live. This is why Donald Trump has been successful — because he doesn’t just roll over and die. He doesn’t just give up,” said the president’s son.

And he hopes his style of political payback might also put the media on notice.

“What would happen in the media today if a bunch of, I don’t know, conservative AGs went after Planned Parenthood in the states where they’re selling children’s body parts? The media would say, ‘Oh my God, this is judicial overreach. This is prosecutorial misconduct.’ But the New York AG can go after the NRA literally on the day when they are announcing a $50 million dollar ad buy into this election? Right, I’m sure it has nothing to do with it,” he said.

“If it was happening with liberals, the media would have the guts, they’d have the intellectual honesty, to step up and say this isn’t right. But they don’t because the media are no longer journalists. They are no longer interested in reporting the truth. They are simply interested in being activists for their left-wing causes and the DNC,” added Trump.
