Trump gets behind Bill Schuette for Michigan governor in 2018

President Trump praised Michigan Attorney General Bill Schutte as a candidate in the Great Lakes State's 2018 gubernatorial race Saturday evening.

Schuette, who declared he was running for the highest office in the state after years of speuclation that he would do so, is considered the main frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

"Attorney General Bill Shuette (sic) will be a fantastic Governor for the great State of Michigan. I am bringing back your jobs and Bill will help!" Trump tweeted.

Later, Trump touted Alabama Sen. Luther Strange, a Republican who Trump has endorsed in the special election to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions as the senator from Alabama for the rest of his term.

"I will be in Huntsville, Alabama, on Saturday night to support Luther Strange for Senate. "Big Luther" is a great guy who gets things done!" Trump tweeted

Trump also touted his fiscal accomplishments on Saturday, saying he believes the job and stock market will only continue to get better.

"A great deal of good things happening for our country. Jobs and Stock Market at all time highs, and I believe will be getting even better!" Trump wrote.

According to Market Watch, the Dow Jones Industrial truly did finish off this week at an all-time high.

Trump spent a quiet day at his golf course in New Jersey Saturday.
