President Trump made the assertion that Republican excitement for his reelection is at an “all time high” in the lead-up to his Florida campaign kickoff event.
The rally, which will be held Tuesday night in Orlando, is expected to be heavily attended. Trump supporters began lining up to get a place in the 20,000-capacity stadium almost two days in advance.
“The Fake News doesn’t report it, but Republican enthusiasm is at an all time high. Look what is going on in Orlando, Florida, right now! People have never seen anything like it (unless you play a guitar). Going to be wild – See you later!” Trump said in a Tuesday morning tweet.

Despite his nationwide approval rating in the red, a poll released last month found that Republicans overwhelmingly approve of how Trump is handling the presidency, with 91% of respondents saying that they support him.
Even more than 16 months out, overall interest in the upcoming election on both sides of the political spectrum is soaring, with a majority of voters already expressing “extremely high” interest in the race.

Trump’s reelection kickoff rally is set for 8 p.m. He made the claim on Monday that more than 100,000 people had requested tickets to attend the event.
