Double Standard: From Sturgis to Martha’s Vineyard

An estimated 700 thousand motorcyclists gathered for their annual rally in Sturgis, South Dakota this weekend. It has brought predictable warnings of a “super spreader” event. Last year’s Sturgis rally also provoked similar warnings, but clear evidence of a Sturgis super spreader event never fully materialized. Indeed, a new politicization over the Covid-19 Delta variant seems to be singling out red states, while ignoring large, unmasked gatherings in blue states. Doug McKelway has more.
