A D.C. man was sentenced to more than 13 years behind bars for armed robbery and other crimes, including robbing prostitute at gunpoint and leading police on a wild chase into Maryland.
Oral Reid Jr., 22, was convicted of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence and reckless driving. In a separate court hearing on Monday, he also was sentenced to four years in prison for stealing a car and other crimes.
On Aug. 1, 2010, Reid lured a woman into his blue Nissan Altima at 13th Street NW, put $90 in her bra Jr. to pay for oral sex on him, according to authorities. He put a gun to the woman’s head and stole her money. After giving up the money, the woman ran to a police officer. Reid led authorities through D.C. to Montgomery County, where he was arrested after he tried to abandon the car.
