The Internet-meme-turned-cryptocurrency Dogecoin now has a sick ride — a NASCAR ride, that is.
On Sunday, Phil Parsons Racing tweeted out the first photos of the car with its new paint job, which has quickly been nicknamed Dogecar.
Here it is! Thanks to all that made it happen. See you in ‘Dega! #NASCAR pic.twitter.com/gk0YlRrnBJ

The unique design of the stock car came about thanks to Reddit users who, after seeing driver Josh Wise was sponsorless, decided to raise money to put Doge on the racecar. The cost? About $50,000. The benefit? Every time Wise’s #98 car is announced on the track, it will be the “Dogecoin Ford Fusion.”
Wise will race the Dogecar at the Talladega Superspeedway on May 4.
Dogecoin was created in 2013, after a Twitter joke about Internet currencies like Bitcoin and the popularity of the Doge meme. The cryptocurrency then went viral on Reddit, where the meme was already wildly popular.
