A senior adviser to the Iranian president took aim at President Trump, seeming to threaten him and his real estate empire.
Hesameddin Ashena tweeted a link to Forbes’s estimate of Trump’s real estate assets before following up with a direct message to the president. “We have ZERO problems with the American people,” he said. “We even achieved deals with previous US administrations. Our sole problem is Trump. In the event of war, it is he who will bear full responsibility.”

On Thursday, the United States killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani in an airstrike. Iran has threatened retaliation, but Trump said Saturday that any response from the country would result in an even bigger attack by the U.S.
“Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD,” the president said.

The airstrike from the U.S. followed attacks by Iranian-backed militias breaching the American Embassy in Iraq. Trump had promised there would be a strong response before the death of Soleimani.
