Baltimore County police tracked down and arrested a Pikesville man suspected in the stabbing of a Ravens linebacker early Sunday morning outside a bowling alley.
Chase Williams, 21, of the 1300 block of Idylwood Road, was charged in a warrant with attempted murder and assault before police caught up with him Wednesday night in Baltimore city. He is accused of chasing Roderick Greendown outside the Kings Point Lanes Bowling Center in Randallstown and stabbing him after the two bumped into each other, police said.
Green and a group of friends drove home and met an ambulance, which took him to Sinai Hospital, police said.
A spokesman for the Ravens said when Green was released Monday that his injuries shouldn?t keep him from practicing with the team later this month.
Police said Williams, who has twice before faced drugs and paraphernalia charges, bumped into Green near the bowling alley?s front doors shortly before 1 a.m., just as it was closing. The two had a heated conversation before Green and his friends turned to leave.
Williams broke free of a friend who was holding him back and chased Green, stabbed him and then tried to chase him down again the linebacker got away, police alleged.
Green outran Williams and escaped. Williams was held without bail Thursday pending a review hearing, police said.
