Boo! Officers looking for scary Alexandria robber

Law enforcement officers are investigating a bank robbery in Alexandria and asking the public for information that could help them in the case.

Police said the suspect wore a scary Halloween mask when he walked into the Capital One Bank at 500 S. Washington Street around 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 20. The man implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled the area. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 6 feet tall with a medium build. He wore a red sweatshirt with a zipper and several small white paint spots, dark-colored gloves, light-colored pants, and a gray knit cap.

Photos of the suspect were captured on a video surveillance camera.
