Hillary Clinton’s campaign got called out for using a picture of a woman weeping at the Democratic National Convention with the tag line “we made history.” It turns out though that the delegate was crying for Bernie Sanders’ speech.

Nida Allam was the woman in the picture. She’s a delegate from North Carolina and proud supporter of the Vermont Senator, so much so that she became emotional when he conceded that she began to cry.

Never missing an opportunity, the Hillary Clinton campaigned used the photo in a tweet as if Allam was weeping for the historical moment a woman was nominated for president.

Allam wasted no time calling them out for their hypocrisy and proudly announced that she was still not supporting Clinton.

“I was upset that my emotions were being used by her when she did not truthfully earn my vote,” Allam said to Mic’s Sarah Harvard during a phone interview. “She is getting it solely by default.”

She also told reporters that she believed Clinton’s campaign was trying to use her picture to misrepresent her and gain votes from Muslim Americans.

Clinton’s team apologized the following day and congratulated her on supporting Sanders.

Allam said to Red Alert that she plans on voting for Clinton by default, but knows many progressives who are undecided and feel that the Democratic nominee has to earn their vote.

“I’m still supporting Senator Sanders in the sense that I will work my hardest to make sure all the hard work we’ve put in this last year isn’t just a waste,” Allam said to Red Alert over Twitter message. “Hillary will get my vote by default but I know many people who she will really really have to work for their vote and I hope to work to help elect officials that will pressure Hillary to become more progressive”
