First lady Melania Trump announced Wednesday she hired Anna Christina Niceta Lloyd as White House social secretary.
Niceta Lloyd, who is known as Rickie, will help Trump with the planning and execution of social events at the White House.
“Rickie brings with her over 22 years of solid diplomatic, political and social entertaining experience,” Trump said in a news release. “I am looking forward to sharing my ideas and traditions of entertaining and social hospitality to America’s house, my new home as well. That, along with Rickie’s vast experience, I am even more excited.”
Niceta Lloyd helped plan the last five presidential inaugurations, according to the release. She also helped execute numerous State Department events under several secretaries of state.
This is the first lady’s second major hire in a week. Last Wednesday she announced Lindsay Reynolds as her chief of staff.
