Forest Hill man stabbed on Ma and Pa Trail

A Forest Hill man who went out for a late-night smoke was stabbed after another man attempted to rob him.

Harford County sheriff?s deputies were called to the area of Ma and Pa Trail near the 1500 block of Melrose Lane in Forest Hill Sunday at about 2:45 a.m. after a man armed with a knife approached the victim, who was smoking, and demanded money.

When the victim told the would-be robber he had no money, he was stabbed twice ? once in the chest and once in the arm. The suspect then fled in the direction of Spenceola Farms.

Responding paramedics told police the wounds were approximately a half-inch deep. Neither was life- threatening.

The victim was transported via ambulance to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was treated and released.

The suspect was described as a black man, approximately 5 feet 7 inches, thin, with a goatee and hair arranged in corn rows.
