Senate Majority PAC pulls remaining ads out of Florida

A top Democratic Super PAC is pulling all remaining advertising reservations out of Florida in an attempt to reallocate resources as Sen. Marco Rubio continues to lead in his fight for re-election.

With just over a month until election day, the Senate Majority PAC, which is run by allies of Sen. Harry Reid, is pulling $6 million worth of ads out of the key battleground state as Rubio continues to lead Rep. Patrick Murphy.

The move comes after the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s decision to delay ads in the state. According to reports, the DSCC cancelled $1.9 million in TV advertising from Oct. 18-24.

Rubio has led the two-term congressman in every single poll since July. At the moment, Rubio leads by a 5.8-point margin, taking 47.3 percent to Murphys 41.5 percent, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.

Earlier in the week, Rubio revealed that he raised nearly three times as much as his Democratic challenger during the third fundraising quarter, pulling in $9.6 million for his campaign and other groups. Rubio also topped all other Senate candidates who have released their fundraising numbers for the last three weeks. Murphy raised $3.3 million during the same time period.
