The fourth green at East Potomac Park’s “Blue Course” is 154 yards from the tee, and it’s protected by two bunkers.
The last time I played the course, I hit a perfect 6- or 7-iron—I can’t remember now—that landed on the green and rolled to within a few feet of the hole. I took my hero walk, lined up the putt, and sank it for a birdie, tying me with my competitor at 6 over par after 4 holes.
