FREMONT, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a husband and wife have died in a motorcycle crash on a rural western New York road.

State police tell local media that Myron Crispino of Corning was driving his motorcycle with his wife Anne as a passenger when he lost control of the bike shortly after noon Sunday on Route 21 in the Steuben (stoo-BEHN’) County town of Fremont, 55 miles south of Rochester.

Troopers say the motorcycle drifted off the side of the road and crashed into a guide rail, ejecting the couple from the vehicle.

The Crispinos, both 61, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Myron Crispino was a former Corning city councilman who also served as deputy mayor.
