Republican presidential contender Marco Rubio says the 2016 campaign is not about Donald Trump, but reclaiming America after seven years of President Obama.
“It’s not about Donald Trump,” the Florida senator said at Thursday night’s GOP debate in Des Moines hosted by Fox News. He said Trump is “an entertaining guy, he’s the greatest show on earth,” but the campaign “is about America, and a president that has systematically destoryed many of the things that made America special.”
“Barack Obama wants to change America. He wants America to be like the rest of the world,” he said. “We don’t want to be like the rest of the world, we want to be the United States of America.
“That’s why Hillary Clinton won’t win this election,” he said.
