ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Arlington County police have released video showing people walking past a man who had been struck and killed by a car earlier this month.

Authorities on Monday released video of the aftermath of the July 1 fatal collision, taken by a Metrobus surveillance camera, in hopes of gathering more information about what happened.

The man was struck while crossing Columbia Pike at Four Mile Run Drive.

The traffic signal at the intersection was dark because of a recent storm that left much of the area without electricity.

The video shows people on a sidewalk walking past the man. It also shows several passengers boarding a bus but not staying behind to help the man or call the police.
