GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) — The Sweetwater County Commission has joined Gov. Matt Mead in opposing plans by the federal government to enact rules for hydraulic fracturing on public lands.
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management should leave oversight of the oil and gas industry practice to Wyoming regulators who enacted their own rules for fracking two years ago, the commission recently wrote the BLM.
