A Prince George’s County official said the county will attempt to keep a Bladensburg business closed after it apparently violated orders to cease operations Saturday morning.
More than a dozen members of the Livable Communities Initiative Task Force visited the Another Level Studio on Annapolis Road early Saturday. Inspectors, police and other officials found pornographic material and what appeared to be a strip club, complete with a carpeted dancing podium and small, private booths off to the side. The county shuttered the business because owner Charles Boyd did not have an updated use and occupancy certificate and appeared to be operating something other than a recording studio.
By early Sunday morning, lights were on inside the studio, cars were parked in front and patrons were going through the front door. It was unclear, however, whether Another Level was operating as a strip club or as the recording studio owner Charles Boyd had told both the state and county he was running.
