Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey’s campaign announced Thursday that they raised $3.1 million over the past three months, the most reported by any incumbent Republican during the second fundraising quarter.
The figure is an increase from the $2.5 million his campaign raised during the first three months of the year, bringing his overall haul for the year to date to $5.6 million.
The campaign declined to say how much Toomey has in cash on hand at the moment or whether the figure was higher than the $9.1 million the campaign had in the bank as of March 31. They also didn’t reveal how much the Pennsylvania Republican has spent during the same period of time.
“Pennsylvanians recognize that Pat Toomey is a leader in the Senate who fights to keep Americans safe and create more quality jobs,” said campaign spokesman Ted Kwong in a statement. “Senator Toomey is grateful for the massive continued support he is receiving from across the Commonwealth.”
According to the campaign’s press release, Toomey took in nearly 100,000 individual contributions. Eighty-six percent of those donations were $200 or less.
Toomey’s $3.1 million figure eclipses those of Ohio Sen. Rob Portman and New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, who reported $2.9 million and $2.5 million, respectively. Portman himself reported the $2.9 million figure along with another $1 million he raised for the Ohio Republican Party.
Meanwhile, Katie McGinty, who nabbed the Democratic nod to run against Toomey back in April, has not released her fundraising stats yet. Prior to the April 26 election, McGinty had less than $1 million on hand.
All reports are due to the Federal Election Commission by July 15.
