Poll: Clinton’s lead grows to 5 points in Arizona

Hillary Clinton opened a 5-percentage-point lead over Donald Trump, 39-34, among likely voters in Arizona, according to a new poll.

The Arizona Republic/Morrison/Cronkite News poll released on Wednesday found roughly 21 percent of voters remain undecided.

Clinton’s 5-point advantage grew from 1 percentage point in August, 35-34, and is consistent with other Arizona polling released this week showing her with a lead in the formerly reliable red state.

When including “leaners” in the polling sample, the percentage of undecided voters drops to 8.1 percentage points, and Clinton maintains a 5-point edge, 43-38, over Trump.

The Arizona Republic poll was conducted Oct. 10-15 by telephone and had a plus or minus 4.3-percentage-point margin of error.

The newest Arizona polling comes ahead of the third and final presidential debate in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.
