WILLIAMSPORT, Md. (AP) — The western Maryland town of Williamsport is marking Arbor Day by planting 120 trees in memory of fallen Civil War soldiers.
Saturday’s event at the Springfield Farm and Museum is part of a plan to dedicate 620,000 trees along the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Scenic Byway.
