Clinton camp: What does Trump have to hide in taxes?

After Donald Trump refused to reveal the tax rate he pays in an interview, Hillary Clinton’s campaign pushed yet again for the business mogul to release his tax returns on Friday.

“Our country has a long history of presidential candidates releasing their full tax returns and for good reason. Voters deserve to know what’s in Donald Trump’s returns — how exactly he makes his money and what he does with it. Enough is enough,” Hillary for America Deputy Communications Director Christina Reynolds said in a statement on Friday.

She added, “We know he’s done his best to avoid paying his fair share of taxes. What else is he hiding in those tax returns?”

Voters and pundits alike have called for Trump to release his tax returns for months but the presumptive GOP nominee refuses to, claiming that since he is under audit he can’t give our the information. But the IRS has said that “nothing prevents individuals from sharing their own tax information” even if they are under audit.

In contrast, Clinton released her back history of taxes to voters months ago, but still refuses to release her Wall Street speech transcripts, saying she will make them public once her opponent does the same.
