Seattle mayor blames ‘far-right rally’ after left-wing activists attacked Christian prayer service

The mayor of Seattle blamed the organizers of an evangelical Christian event for the violence that broke out in response, which successfully shut the peaceful prayer service down at a Seattle park on Saturday.

Over the weekend, anti-abortion Christian organization MayDay USA held a religious freedom rally in the heart of Seattle’s historically LGBT neighborhood. Hundreds of attendees praying in unison assembled to uphold “the sanctity of human life,” oppose the teachings of gender ideology, and emphasize “the importance of the nuclear family,” according to the conservative group’s website.
