A Maryland police officer has been charged with raping an illegal immigrant during a traffic stop while on duty in the early hours.

Officer 1st Class Ryan Macklin of Prince George’s County Police Department was arrested Monday evening, according to the police department, which said that a preliminary investigation shows that Mackin pulled the woman over early on Thursday morning before demanding she perform a sexual act in a parking lot.
