The October Supplemental Security Income payments, worth up to $994 for an individual filer, will be sent to recipients in 12 days.
SSI payments are typically issued on the first day of each month, or on the last business day of the prior month if the first day falls on a federal holiday or a weekend. The program supports people with limited income who are blind, age 65 or older, or have a qualifying disability.
