Man found guilty in Carroll murder

After a day and a half of deliberations, a Carroll Circuit Court jury found a Westminster man guilty of first-degree felony murder Thursday ? the first murder in Carroll in more than three years.

Shawn Anthony Jones, 29, now faces the possibility of life in prison without parole for fatally shooting Donnie Bowman, 43, of Westminster, and wounding Lamont Dew, 39, of Baltimore, as they sat in a car parked behind Little Jay?s convenience store in Westminster after 8 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2005.
