Donald Trump challenged Hillary Clinton’s stamina in Ohio on Wednesday night.
Trump noted the rising temperature in the room where he was delivering the speech and questioned whether Clinton could handle the heat.
“You think this is easy? Oh you think this is so easy? In this beautiful room that’s 122 degrees,” Trump said. “It is hot and it’s always hot when I perform because the crowds are so big.”
He continued, “I don’t know folks, you think Hillary would be able to stand up here for an hour and do this? I don’t know. I don’t think so. I don’t think so.”
Trump’s jab at Clinton comes after she was sidelined from campaigning because of an illness that her campaign has said is “pneumonia.” Before revealing the pneumonia diagnosis on Sunday, her campaign originally blamed Clinton’s apparent collapse after a Sept. 11 event on her feeling “overheated.” Clinton is scheduled to resume campaigning later this week.
After visiting Michigan and Ohio on Wednesday, Trump will head to New York and New Hampshire on Thursday.
