CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — Prosecutors say a former New York City police detective faces up to eight years in prison for his role in a burglary ring that stole $10 million in loot over several years.
The proceeds included $3 million in sunglasses from a Plainview, New York, business and $2 million in cash from a plastic surgeon.
