The Metrobus driver involved in the Valentine’s Day crash that killed two women was formally fired Monday. Victor Kolako was behind the wheel when his bus turned left onto Pennsylvania Avenue from Seventh Street Northwest and fatally struck two women.
Kolako, who was placed on administrative leave following the accident, had been a Metrobus operator since 2000.
A D.C. judge ruled last week that police have gathered sufficient evidence for Kolako to stand trial in the summer on two counts of negligent homicide.
