Fox host: Rubio, Clinton ‘share a lot of the same positions’

If Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., faces Hillary Clinton in the general election, he’d likely do well because they agree on so many issues, a Fox News host suggested Monday.

“Well, the problem is: If he’s doing well in a general election match-up against Hillary Clinton, it’s because they share a lot of the same positions,” Fox’s Andrea Tarantos said during a taping of “Outnumbered.”

“He would threaten her, I think, because they share a lot of foreign policy positions, immigration positions, child tax credit positions … It’s why some conservatives have problems with Marco Rubio,” she said.

She reiterated that she believes the Florida senator is a “strong candidate” in a general, but that’s only because “he shares” the positions she mentioned earlier.

Tarantos has not stated who she supports in the 2016 GOP primary, but she has said she is awfully impressed by Donald Trump’s many — sometimes evolving — platforms.
